I am the storm, sent to wake you from your dreams...

I am addicted to Japanese iced tea. I've had three today already. I tell myself it's because it helps keep the coughing down, but I know better. Hopefully I am nearing the last of the lung spooge.

I am a sad creature with no willpower, compounded by the fact that I plan to take another trip to Akihabara this weekend. Hopefully no earthquakes will strand me in Ikebukuro for six hours this time.

I am also going to get my hair cut, which should be an interesting experience, as should I come out of it with light reddish brown hair slightly curled at the ends and feathered into non-existence, I will promptly shave my head. It's a risky proposition, as from the looks of every single person here my age, I'm not sure the hairdressers now how to do hair any other way. Although what I think may delight some of the people on this list is that Advent Children!Reno hair is very in this summer among the young men. Every time I see a young salaryman on the train heading home work in a black suit with his shirt undone at the collar and Reno!hair part of me wants to complement him on his cosplay.

That which is not iced kocha, which is utterly digusting and nasty, but more like western iced tea, only less overwhelmingly, I-kick-you-in-the-face-with-SHUGAR, sweet with more emphasis on the tea and the lemon, is AWESOME.

do you like milk tea? it's a little too sweet for me.

i have gotten my hair cut twice in japan. the first time they warned me they might not be able to do anything because i don't have japanese hair. the second time they cut it like i wanted and it was perfect. ^_^

Japanese... hair? As in thick, straight and black? I wasn't aware there were any other differences. As mine is the first two and dyes the last one nicely, I don't think it will be a huge problem.

Oh, my life in Japan so far is nothing if not amusing. Especially with the constant engrish.

LET'S KIOSK!

Mmm, from your description in the comments, that tea sounds delicious. I'm craving some like mad right now... I have nothing to drink.

I NEVER drink tap water.

But I'm from California, where doing that will KEEEEL YOOOOU! (Not really, but it's still gross).

So yeah, California kept me from getting into the habit of drinking tap. I ALWAYS need my water filtered, baby.

...WHAT?! Dude, that's not even real Japanese iced tea! o_o;; I was thinking you were drinking Ooi, ocha or something.

I now point my finger at your tea and accuse it of being a poseur.

AHAHAHAH! ph33r my whitey tastes!!!

Actually I drink those too, but that was what I was drinking at the office today.

I am currently much in ph33r of your whitey tastes. Well, I suppose it can't be that bad, I don't think you can find Nestea Limone in the States.

But I'll still make fun of your being white. And hey, don't forget, you can always bring down your white points by keeping the feathered hairdo. You need to give me pictures before you shave that off.

Maybe if you can pass yourself off as a man, they won't feather it. *thumbs up* Good luck dude, you're gonna need it.

...and by "States" I mean Canada too. :x *cough*

July 28 2005, 13:18:46 UTC 6 years ago

No, you can't find it in New Canada or in Jesus Land. Nestea back home is like OMG MY PANCREAS, like you can FEEL the diabetes. Limone is... better.

In any case, iced kocha is ASS. And I have the chinese interns to back me up on this, so it's not just being el whitey - Japanese people failed at something to think drinking cold kocha is a valid idea.

I also agree that kocha = failure. Then again, most Japanese tea (cept milk tea, my one true love) is failing it, despite my highly biased Southern US tastes, where we like a little tea with our SUGAR.

Though I'll have to try that Limone stuff.

*raises hand* I went in to dye my hair with green streaks and instead they ignored me and dyed it auburn with gold streaks. (not that it looks bad, but...) watch out! XD
